 | | Is the sitter knowledgeable about (cats, dogs, birds, iguanas, fish, etc.)? YES, The majority of our | | | staff has experience working in the Veterinary Profession (i.e. As a Vet Assistant, Vet Technician, Vet Technologist). Those who don't have Veterinary experience are Red Cross Pet First Aid Certified.

 | | Will the sitter know if something is wrong with the pet or even with the house? (E.g. No urine in the litter | | | box or smoke alarms beeping)? Yes. Our pet sitters are trained to look out for such occurrences. A daily log is kept documenting whether your pet has done it's business, eaten or drank, had it's medication, etc.

 | | Does the sitter have knowledge about pet first aid? Yes, all of our sitters are either Veterinary | | | Professionals with experience in handling medical emergencies and/or are Red Cross Pet First Aid Certified.

 | | Does the sitter socialize the animal (when appropriate)? (e.g. A sacred cat or old dog may not want to | | | be “socialized” and prefer just to snooze or hide). We do not socialize your pets with pets we do not know. We stray away from forcing a timid pet outside their comfort zone or from putting a boisterous or aggressive pet in a hazardous situation. One of the benefits of using a Pet Sitter is that it reduces pet anxiety. For a boisterous and or potentially aggressive pet we recommend contracting us to take your pet on a long walk versus to the dog park, this allows the dog to burn energy and remain safe at the same time. We strive to provide quality care which includes keeping the pet safe, happy and stress free!

 | | Does the Sitter meet with the client beforehand to go over the job? Yes. We provide a Free In Your | | | Home Consultation. At this visit we become acquainted with your pet(s) we discuss your pet care needs, complete necessary paperwork, and go over your home care instructions.

 | | Does the sitter sweep up around the litter box and scoop it every visit? Yes. We require a minimum | | | of one visit per day for cats. We do clean the litter box at each visit. Some cats require additional visits per day, we check the litter box at each additional visit and clean it as needed. We document whether the pet has done it's business at each visit, this helps determine the wellbeing of the pet while in our care.

 | | Does the sitter pick up pet poop? Yes. The Sitter will pick up poop that the pet made while in their | | | care. We will not clean your whole yard for you. We will be offering waste removal services in the future. If this is a service that would interest you please let us know so we can gage the need. We document whether the pet has done it's business at each visit, this helps determine the wellbeing of the pet while in our care.

 | | Does the Sitter get pertinent information about the pet’s veterinarian, where client will be and how to | | | contact plus the names of local contacts in the event of an emergency? Yes. We have you fill out a Veterinary release form authorizing us to have your pet treated in the case of an emergency. This form indicates which Vet you use and has a preset monetary amount the sitter is authorized to spend on your behalf. We require you leave your credit card on file with your Vet to alleviate the middle man. If there is a dire emergency and an Emergency Vet is required Sir Walks A Lot will contact you for payment.

 | | Does the sitter have contingency plans and backup if she/he has an emergency? Yes. We always | | | schedule a backup sitter in the case of an emergency. The Owners of Sir Walks A Lot are also available for emergency care. The care of your pet(s) is our business and we take it very seriously.

 | | How long does the sitter stay at the house for a visit? For the time contracted (15-60 min).

 | | What extras will the sitter do? Administration of Medication/Vitamins, Water house plants (upon | | | request), Take in mail, packages, and newspaper, Put trash out on your appointed trash day, To give your home a lived in appearance we will alternate window curtains and blinds and turn on and off lights (indoors and out), Turn on TV or radio to keep pet(s) company.  | | What are your hours of operation? Our am visits are from 7-10am. Our Midday Walks are from | | | 11am - 2pm. Our pm visits are from 5-9pm. You can request visits between 9pm and 7am but that is considered after hours and an additional fee of $10.00 per visit does apply.

 | | Do you charge Per Pet or Per Visit? Sir Walks A Lot charges per visit, NOT Per Pet. We offer a | | | variety of time frames to choose from. Most pet sitters charge for each pet, we DO NOT!!

 | | How many times will the sitter come to the home each day? We do require a minimum of 2, 30 | | | minute visits per day for dogs and one 30 minute visit a day for cats. If you have multiple pets this is a very economical way to provide care for your pets while you are away. Additional visits are encouraged for pets who are used to having frequent potty breaks throughout the day.
